Soundwave Surf School is based on the grounds of the Bervie Guesthouse, a restored coastguard station on the western end of Keel beach. This part of the beach is Keel’s hidden gem, an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle.

With its beautiful gardens and breathtaking views of the Minaun Cliffs, Clare Island, and the Atlantic Ocean as far as the eye can see, this is the perfect place to enjoy Achill Island at its very best.

Join us in The Valley House for some traditional Irish music every Thursday night from 9pm.
The more the merrier, so don’t be shy. Can you sing? Great! Can you play an instrument? Even better — bring it along, join in the craic, and maybe even teach us a tune or two from your homeplace.

Coffee and treats at Lílí Bán Café

After your surf lesson, you’ll come out of the water feeling invigorated, exhilarated… and probably very hungry!
Just follow the sandy path up to Lílí Bán Café, where John and his team will be waiting with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, crepes and delicious homemade treats.
Come as you are, with wet hair and sandy toes. Soak up the views as you sip your drink, with nowhere to be but right here, right now.
